I hope that this week has been a happy one for everyone!
During this week I have had the pleasure of seeing our students excel in many different ways from athletics to debating, in Art and Stem but what stood out was the day to day learning that they participate in.
In year 5 and 6 the use of the Character Strengths: Teamwork, Creativity, Enthusiasm and Persistence came to the fore in creating poems for an upcoming Poetry Slam. Using the writing process the students have created many engaging poems that will be presented next week on Thursday. I can’t wait.
Indonesian Immersion Day
Our students have been participating in Indonesian this year and thanks to the wonderful Bu Tabone we were treated to an amazing Indonesian experience yesterday.
In 2020 we will continue to deliver an Indonesian program and I look forward to the growing of the students learning, going from strength to strength.
Thanks to the students for their participation, teachers for supporting the day and again Bu Tabone for her organisation.
Movie night
As mentioned via Compass and Facebook the Movie night has been cancelled due to a lack of attendees.
Annual Fair
Our fair planning committee are in full swing in preparation for December 6th School Fair.
We are working together to produce a sustainable event to minimise waste. To do this we are hoping that families can do a bit of spring cleaning and send any mugs, cups and saucers our way. We are also looking for empty Passata bottles and lids for our lemonade stand if you can keep and collect.
An important part of the fair is a silent auction and raffle. If you have any items you can donate please start to bring them in after the holidays.
Enjoy the weekend and good luck to Barwon Heads FNC in their grand final games this weekend at Torquay Football Ground.
