From School Council

There has been lots happening at the School Council over the last 3 years (since I have been a member) and a lot has been achieved.  The most significant being the building program.  From architects and planning meetings, to dealing with builders and tradies – we have achieved a great building outcome for the school for which we can all be proud.  The school is blessed with a great geographic position and on any view it is up there with the best of any public or private primary school on the globe.  There were a lot of happy faces delighted to see the last of the builders with the school being handed back to the kids and staff just in time.  The results are stunning and a credit to the hard work of many including Dan Vella and Robyn Booth, the staff and the Council.  We are also so lucky to have such a committed and dedicated staff who I greatly admire. The working Bee was a great success and was a terrific lead into the Xmas fair which has set a new standard of excellence and a great credit to all involved especially the organising Committee and the parents who were so generous in donating their time to help on the day.  The Xmas Fair showcased not only the great physical resource we have but also the beautiful spirit of the people who make up the school community.  May well it continue.  But of course it would be remiss of me not to thank Dan Vella for the ultimate highlight – yes playing Santa at the Xmas Fair.  ho ho ho.  Such is the life of a school councillor.
